Joel Sternfeld

Joel Sternfeld est un photographe assez côté aux USA. Il photographie en couleur (plutôt douces, non retravaillées dans tous les sens) avec une chambre photographique, autant dire qu’on le voit arriver et qu’il lui faut un certain temps pour s’installer. Il ne ferait, selon ses dires, aucune mise en scène. Il travaille principalement sur la thématique de l’absurde. Aussi il a fait une série de photographies de « Lieu du crime » (On this site), photos dont on comprend donc la profondeur, seulement en connaissant l’histoire du lieu.
